in other words, CCPs stealth nerf on missioners reprocessing loot is working. Less salvaging, less reprocessing loot, more mined ores required, mineral prices start to rise.

Damned if you do, damned if you dont.
I don't.
CCP are in a hole that they dug for themselves with no prompting from anyone else. I don't recall a huge roar from the crowd demanding a new UI.
Having dug that hole, they then didn't follow rule#1, which is to stop digging!
The sensible thing would have been to recall the patch and rollback to the existing largely unbroken UI and then fix this new UI quietly in the background without any player pressure.
Instead, CCP continue to dig themselves deeper while the player base looks on disappointedly.
In recalling the patch they would basically be saying, 'sorry, we messed up'.
I have yet to see (possibly could have missed it somewhere, but i dont think so),an official post from CCP saying that the release of the update was an error. IMO they would take a gigantic leap forward in terms of customer relations, if they just had the balls to say that they messed up. Mistakes happen, and can to a certain extent be accepted. What cant be accepted is their complete failure to admit to their mistakes.

they did try it on the test system, they then released it with the bugs that had been reported still in the update.

Whats annoying, infuriating and downright bad business sense is all we get from CCP is 'er, heres a patch to fix some issues' every 2-3 days.
Whats then even more annoying etc. is said patch seems to fix maybe 1 or 2 bugs, but then makes previously cleared bugs, reappear.
Time to get your main programmers back on this and away from other projects before your flagship takes the same route as the SS Titanic.

Originally by: CCP Bella Bee I haven't been able to produce the behavior you describe neither in corp details editing, bio nor notepad.
The biggest problem you have is that not every user is having the same problems. Admittedly some wont have d/l patch #4, but some will have. The longer you go on releasing patches which install on an individuals client, the more mess this will probably lead to. The main issue MUST be to get TQ stable, and then look at each seperate bug report. All you are doing is releasing individual patches which are curing (supposedly) a certain number of users. You are not fixing the main problem.

It is worth nothing that the updates are incremental, so each new update will contain all the previously released updates as well.
but patch #4 has recreated bugs with my client that patch #3 had cleared.
please explain to me how that has happened, preferably in words of 1 sylable as obviously im too thick to comprehend it.

Dont take all the moaning/whining to heart Bella Bee. Im not sure if youve volunteered for the front line tonight or been shoved in here, but with there been a distinct lack of conversation between CCP and the users, youve got the short straw tonight.

Can you give me a specific example of this?
I originally had double overview, patch 3 cured it completely for me. After installing patch #4 i now have double overview when undocking again.

Originally by: CCP Bella Bee Ok thanks. We haven't been able to reproduce the double overview issue in a test environment, but we had a theory to what could cause it that was addressed in update #3 and that seemed to fix it for most players. If you are still seeing this issue then please file a bug report, describing the steps that cause the overview to double. Again we haven't been able to reproduce the issue, so we would appreciate as much detail as possible about your scenario.
Erm, im unsure exactly how much detail in regards to 'my scenario' you require. Other than 'whenever i undock in a ship or capsule, i have double entries of everything in my overview', what would you like? Description of the clothes im wearing? Angle of keyboard? Wether i have the light on? curtains drawn? etc. etc.?
